With the establishment of study programs by PFH Campus Stade the Hanseatic town is since 2006 the youngest university town in the German federal state Lower Saxony. Together with the lightweight CFRP technology-research are the Stade campus as a university town and the CFK-Valley as a scientific location of high regional importance.
In "CFK Valley Stade e.V."-association about 120 companies are organized. In the area around Stade approximately 60 companies and research institutions are located, which are involved in the industrial production of fiber composite structures.
